AN OVERVIEW OF THE STUDY

1.1.                 THE NEED OF THE STUDY

In the recent trend of globalization of world economy, International Trade has become very important in developing economy of every country. It creates conditions for every nation to focus more on specialized productions making products that the company has the advantages and to strengthen import and export activities for the products with fewer competitive advantages.

At the CPAC Monier Vietnam Co. Ltd, luxury tiles are the main product of the company, bringing great benefits to the company. The core import market for this type of the products of the company is Thailand. However, the implementation of the signed contract with partners in Thailand market there has still had lots of things to consider. Specially, there have always been many faults in the process of conducting the contract implementation such as the unreasonable customs decleration leading to delay in customs clearance, unthorough checking in taking delivery, not update information constantly and timely about implementing tasks and responsibilities in the contract of the exporter…All these faults will affect the other stages of production. The profound causes of these faults stemmed from ineffectively supervising and executing the procedures of implementing the import contracts. Therefore, improving the supervisions and executions to upgrade effectiveness in implementing the import contracts is necessary task at CPAC Monier Vietnam Co. Ltd at the moment.

In the scope of a graduationpaper, the study of improving the supervisions and executions of the procedures in implementing import contracts has been of great sense and practical to a student, as trainee at CPAC Monier Co. Ltd. With knowledge gained from the study at the English Faculty and the International Trade Faculty and from the probationary period at CPAC Monier Vietnam Co. Ltd, the study on “Supervising and executingthe procedures in implementing the tile - import contracts from Thailand at the CPAC Monier Vietnam Co. Ltd. ”has been decided, under the guidance of Ms Hoang Thi Thuy, M. A and Ms Nguyen Bich Thuy, M. A and the support of staff of the company.
