We often use words figuratively. Figurative language is used in poetry and fiction, as well as in everyday speech. Most of us don't think much about the language we use, and even if we do, we don't realize that much of it consists of figures of speech. We use figures of speech all the time, for effect and for emphasis.
In English as well in Vietnamese Metaphor is used as one kind of figures of speech. It is very popular in daily language. As a result, Metaphor are often used in creative writing. Writers use Metaphors regularly in their works to make the phrases more fresh and attractive.

Therefor, I want to know how can Metaphors be used in literary language. Secondly, I hope to enrich my vocabulary and improve my translation ability. Furthermore, I hope that my research can be helpful for learners who are interested in Metaphor in literary work.
