During the struggle for national liberation, Vietnam and Laos forced a close united alliance to fight against common enemy for a common goal. Right in the heady days, the two coutries showed a bright example of loyal and disintegrated ties. The two shared wills and woes and shouldered each ather to overcome the twists and turns of history. On both sides of Truong Son range, sacrifices of people of both countries have glorified the successful struggle for national liberation of the two nations.
During the course of national construction and defence, renovation process and active integration into regional and global economies, Vietnam and Laos have nurtured the special friendship and comprehensive co-operation between their Parties, States and governments, and mass organisations as well as localities in their respective countries. These ties have been experiencing growth in depth and breadth. The two countries join force fo mutual development and assistance, seizing opportunities and exploiting potential and overcoming difficulties and challenges. This writing is a small study of Vietnam-Laos trade co-operation, one of both countries key common interests. Its content is broken into three parts:
