This atlas began as a companion text for Muller and Kirk's Small Animal Dermatology. We designed the book to be a complete color atlas that included current treatments for each disorder. Great effort has gone into making this book an easy-ta-use reference for practicing small animal veterinarians.

The text is organized into chapters based on disease etiologies similar to Muller and Kirk's 5mal1 Ailima/ Dermatology. Since many diseases can present with similar lesions, we devoted the first chapter to differential diagnoses for common clinical presentations. We hope that this chapter will help the practitioner formulate a workable rule-ou t list from which a final diagnosis can be obtained. To make this atlas a complete and useful reference, we incorporated the clinical features, top differentials, diagnostic test findings, and therapies for each disorder. Veterinary dermatology is a specia lty that relies greatly on therapies tailored to each patient's needs. This makes listing treatment options for select diseases very difficult; however, we endeavored to provide sufficient guidance so that practitioners can successfully manage their patient's complai nts. To help with dispensing treatments, four appendices have been included that provide useful p roduct information. In addition, multiple tables have been incorporated into select chapters that provide direction for the treatment of certain disorders.
