Today, Vietnam stock market is potential investment sector for the domestic investors and foreign investors. It is the favor condition for the development of Investment Companies. Besides, the position of Investment Companies is more and more important in the stock market. Realizing that trend, my thesis focuses on the role of Investment Companies in stock market.
The first chapter is about theoretical background and related issues. The basic definition, classification, fee, operation… of Investment Companies is carefully described and the related institution such as supervise bank, investment fund is linked to Investment Companies in order to fully reflect any aspects of Investment Companies. 5 roles of Investment Companies explain the important of it in the market and partly give the reason for the increase of Investment Companies. What factors affect the role of Investment Company is, also, considered in this part. Besides, I mention the history of Investment Companies in the world and the current situation of them to draw the lesson for Investment Companies in Vietnam.
The second chapter is about the current situation of Investment Companies in Vietnam. Firstly, I want to mention the economy environment and each related sub-market and then overview of Investment Companies in Vietnam which lead to the role of them in Vietnam market. From those points, the achievement and drawback of market is concluded. Base on the information, the causes are found.
The third chapter is solution to improve the role of Investment Companies. Firstly, the trend of Vietnam economy is predicted to have proper solution to have proper solution for Investment Company. Next is the recommendation for government, regulation institutions, investment fund and some option regulation. The final one is some solutions for Investment Companies.

CHAPTER1: THEORETICAL BACKGROUND OF
OConcepts of Investment Company:
Generally, an " investment company" is a company (corporation, business trust, partnership, or Limited Liability Company) that issues securities and is primarily engage in the business of investing securities.
They are financial intermediaries that earn fees to pool and invest investors’ funds, giving the investors right to a proportional share of the pooled fund performance. The performance of the investment company will be based on (but it won’t be identical to) the performance of the securities and other assets that the investment company owns.
